Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) recently changed its business registration procedures. Entrepreneurs who fail to go through the real-name authentication process are now allowed to do it face to face with government officials via video link. Applications can be reviewed in as little as 20 minutes.
The change, targeting foreign investors and shareholders, was reportedly made to adjust to the normalized prevention and control of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The innovation of the electronic registration platform simplifies the procedure of registering a business, with the procedure now taking just half a day.
