Emblem revealed ahead of flying event

A press conference was held on Aug 29 to officially announce the emblem of the 2017 World Fly-in Expo. 

The organizer of the World Fly-in Expo (WFE) announced the emblem of the event - an image of a flying eagle - on Aug 29, according to the press conference.

The image is a patchwork of two Chinese characters "Ren" (human) and "Fei"(fly) , expressing the hope of gathering people from all over the world who wish to fly.

It symbolizes a get-together of flying-lovers and those who have dreams.

It is reported that 788 aircrafts will be displayed at the scene. The expo will also attract more than 1000 pilots, instructors, referees and professionals, including world champions from numerous countries.

The first WFE will be held at the Hannan General Aviation Airport in Hannan district, Hubei province, from Nov 4 to 7.

The expo aims to build an exhibition and resource exchange platform that integrates aero sports, sports competitions, technical exchanges, aviatic culture popularization, aviation science education and interactive flight activities. 

The four-day expo includes seven flying shows, five competitions and six interactive activities, as well as music festivals, static exhibitions and summit forums, an aviation event with an abundance of activities which will also be of the largest scale in China.

The static exhibition contains both outdoor and indoor exhibitions. The outdoor exhibition covers an area of 60,000 square meters, displaying more than 200 types of aircrafts, and the indoor exhibition area covers 20,000 square meters, providing booths for more than 100 aircrafts and equipment manufacturers and related institutions.
