Southwest China's Guizhou province held a seminar on economy, trade, culture and tourism in Seoul, South Korea, on May 21. About 60 representatives from Guizhou, the Korea Importers Association, South Korea-China friendship associations, as well as representatives from the Korean economy, trade, and tourism sectors, and media outlets, attended the event.

Xing Haiming, Chinese Ambassador to South Korea, said at the seminar that China and South Korea are neighbors with intertwining economic and trade cooperation and inseparable cultural exchanges.

He highlighted Guizhou as an important energy hub, resource hub, and baijiu production hub in China, with significant advantages in industries such as new energy, new materials, health, organic foods, and high-quality baijiu, offering broad prospects for cooperation with South Korea.

Additionally, he emphasized Guizhou's unique natural landscapes and rich ethnic culture, welcoming Korean tourists to visit Guizhou to enjoy the beautiful scenery, taste delicious food, and have a carefree journey.

Kim In-ho, former president of the Seoul Metropolitan Council, and Kwon Ki-chang, executive vice chairman of Korea Importers Association, expressed that Guizhou's abundant mountain resources and high-quality traditional Chinese medicine materials have unique appeal, and both sides should leverage each other's strengths and potential to enjoy further cooperation in the future.

During the visit to South Korea, the Guizhou delegation visited South Chungcheong Province, where Gui'an New Area and Chungnam Techno Park, and the Guizhou Tourism Association and South Chungcheong Province Tourism Association, respectively, signed cooperation memorandums.
