New residential site unveiled in Guangzhou Knowledge City

As a national-level bilateral cooperation project between China and Singapore, the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City serves as an exemplary deepening of cooperation between the two countries.

The Guangzhou Knowledge City has attracted industry leaders such as BeiGene, Cansemitech, and XPeng Motors, along with several higher education research institutes.

By the end of last year, Guangzhou Knowledge City had fixed asset investments exceeding 530 billion yuan ($73.25 billion), with an average annual growth rate of 16.24 percent. It has attracted around 50,300 market entities, with registered capital exceeding 760 billion yuan, establishing five research institutes and 42 innovation platforms, attracting a large number of postgraduate and undergraduate students.

Recently, the knowledge city released a lakeside residential land parcel with a total area of 120,000 square meters and a plot ratio of only 1.01, the lowest in Guangzhou in nearly seven years. The plot is located in the South Starting Area, adjacent to Phoenix Lake, with mature surrounding commercial, educational, and ecological facilities.

Furthermore, the rapid construction of the Guangzhou Vitality Innovation Axis Expressway (northern section) is accelerating, aiming to connect the Guangzhou Knowledge City to essential nodes such as Guangzhou Financial City, establishing a north-south thoroughfare to enhance the transportation convenience and development potential of the knowledge city.
