On March 22, Huangpu district will host a hiking event at the Tiankeng of Huafeng Temple.
This hike will start from Huasheng Park, pass through Huafeng Temple, and reach the Shiyading Tiankeng, covering a total distance of about 7 kilometers.
The millennium-old temple, Huafeng Temple, was built in the first year of the Shenglong reign of Emperor Zhongzong of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), with a profound cultural heritage. Hikers will stroll along ancient paths, listen to the Zen sounds, appreciate the thousand-year history of Lingnan Buddhism, and experience inner peace.

The traversal of the Shiyading Tiankeng, referred to as the "Second Tear of Guangzhou", reveals a landscape characterized by its magnificent and ethereal beauty. The striking scenery evokes the enchanting qualities of a fairyland, presenting a truly breathtaking experience.
This hike is not only a physical challenge but also a spiritual journey. Participants will explore the mountains and wilderness for 4 to 5 hours, communicate with nature, release stress, and rediscover themselves. Additionally, the event promotes environmental conservation and encourages participants to clean up litter, safeguarding Huangpu's green waters and mountains.
The meeting point for the event is Huasheng Park, from 08:30 am to 3 pm, with a fee of 68 yuan ($9.4) per person. This is an excellent opportunity to get close to nature, experience Huangpu's culture, and enjoy the beauty of spring.
