Grade-A tertiary hospital in Huangpu started trial operation

The Sixth Affiliated Hospital of Sun Yat-sen University Knowledge City Campus began trial operation on Feb 19, opening multiple outpatient areas, including internal medicine, surgery, and gynecology.

Outpatient registration fees are waived during the first three days of the trial operation. Facilities such as wards, operating rooms, endoscopy centers, and emergency rooms will gradually open in early to mid-March.

The hospital is a well-known grade-A tertiary hospital in China, with its large specialty and firm comprehensive services. It houses high-level medical and research institutions, including key national clinical specialties and laboratories designated by the Ministry of Education.

Located in the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, the Knowledge City Campus has a total construction area of 210,000 square meters and a planned bed capacity of 1,000. The area integrates medical, preventive, and healthcare functions, focusing on developing areas such as orthopedic trauma and sports medicine, aiming to benefit the general public and serve the wider Guangdong province and the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
