On Nov 12, Huangpu released information on this year's Huangpu Marathon event, including the route, medals, clothing, and event services. The event is set to accommodate a total of 20,000 participants across three categories: full marathon, half marathon, and fun run.
The starting point of the races is set to be at the Green Axis Square of Guangzhou Science City, with the full marathon finishing at the Kowloon Lake Square of Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, the half marathon at the Green Axis Square, and the fun run at Lihong Second Road. Registration for the event began on Oct 31 at 10 am and is scheduled to close on Nov 22 at 6 pm.
This year's event embodies the spirit of the Guangzhou Development District (GDD) and celebrates the 40th anniversary of the establishment of the GDD. The designs of the race attire and medals are rich in commemorative significance, reflecting the developmental journey and ethos of the district.
