Major developments made in Guangzhou's data infrastructure, AI industry

On Oct 24, the Huangpu Service Area of the Guangzhou Data Exchange was unveiled in Huangpu district. On the same day, the construction of the "Huangpu No 1" Smart Computing Cluster was also launched.

This computational new infrastructure is being constructed by the Science City (Guangzhou) Digital Technology Group and is planned to have an intelligent computing capacity of approximately 1024P, marking a significant step forward for Guangzhou in the construction of new information infrastructure.

By the end of this year at the earliest, the first phase of the "Huangpu No 1" Smart Computing Cluster will be completed, providing locally low-latency intelligent computing, reducing computing costs, and supporting the integrated development of the digital economy and the real economy.

The Huangpu district government services and data management bureau has been renamed and inaugurated to promote the reform and construction of the digital government, as well as the construction of the government service system. Subsequently, the Huangpu Service Area of the Guangzhou Data Exchange was unveiled, aiming to standardize the data element market and promote efficient circulation of data elements.

Currently, Huangpu district has attracted more than 700 artificial intelligence enterprises, with a total artificial intelligence industry space exceeding 1.38 million square meters. Huangpu is advancing the digital transformation of industries, accelerating the development of the digital economy.
