Key projects in Huangpu enter crucial phase

A batch of important projects in Huangpu district of Guangzhou – capital of South China's Guangdong province – are currently approaching a crucial moment.

The Knowledge Tower project has been fully capped, with full completion expected by the end of the year. It's now in the interior decoration phase, with plans to be finished next year.

As a landmark project of Sino-Singapore cooperation, the Knowledge Tower stands as the tallest landmark in the Kowloon Lake Headquarters Economic Belt, reaching a height of 302 meters.

It will serve as a new generation of super high-rise office and shared space – promoting significant cooperation in various fields within Guangzhou Knowledge City.

The main structure of Section C of the Guangzhou University Huangpu Research Institute project has also been completed.

In August 2024, the research institute relocated to the new campus in the Science and Education Innovation Zone of Guangzhou Knowledge City, with a planned total construction area of approximately 390,000 square meters, aiming to become a smart campus to meet teaching and research needs.

Furthermore, the fifth power substation in Huangpu – the Lezhu (Elianda) Substation – has been put into operation to meet the energy needs of projects around Guangzhou Science City, providing support for the district's development.

The main structure of the third phase construction project of the Science City Production and Research Base of the Guangdong Institute of China Energy Construction has also been completed. Once the project is finished, it will meet the production and research needs of thousands of people.

As a whole, the rapid development of these projects is widely said to be injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of Huangpu.
