Recently, the first "24-hour food and medicine smart convenience point" made its debut at the Huangpu government service center in Guangzhou.
This convenience point consists of two self-service vending machines occupying just 1 square meter. It offers snacks and beverages and sells medicines and medical equipment, attracting the attention and interest of many people conducting business.
The Huangpu market supervision bureau has issued official certifications for these two self-service vending machines. One of the establishments primarily focuses on the retail of over-the-counter medications, such as fever and pain relievers, as well as medical equipment, to cater to the general public's routine and urgent medical requirements.
This initiative represents an emerging business model driven by technological advancements and changing market demands, breaking the constraints of traditional store operations.
The superior geographical location of the Huangpu government service center, with a large flow of people around the clock, has been chosen as the first pilot site for public placement, facilitating the establishment of the "24-hour smart pharmacy". It has enhanced supervision of the self-service vending machines to ensure the safety and quality of medicines and medical equipment.
Through this new model, businesses can expand their service scope, achieve sales growth, and provide more convenient options for the public.
