Municipal school in Huangpu starts operating

The inauguration ceremony for the Guangzhou School of Arts (Huangpu Campus) was held on Sept 19. The school provides a more professional and expansive development platform for artistic talent.

Covering an area of approximately 51,000 square meters, with a building area of about 80,000 sq m, the campus boasts facilities such as a library, teaching buildings, administrative buildings, comprehensive buildings, and dormitories, capable of accommodating around 1,700 students.

Inspired by Lingnan architecture, the campus design incorporates Cantonese blue bricks in its external structures, creating a multi-dimensional, artistic public space with a distinct Lingnan vibe.

The campus features landscaped designs that offer rich outdoor teaching and leisure spaces, allowing teachers and students to study and live in a beautiful environment.

The Guangzhou School of Arts, a specialized public high school under the direct jurisdiction of the Guangzhou education bureau, offers majors in fine arts, calligraphy, music, dance, broadcasting, and hosting. The school has garnered numerous accolades and is recognized as an important hub for arts education in Guangdong province.
