Huangpu boosts urban-rural development balance

On Sept 18, the second town and neighborhood Competitive Observation Meeting was held in Huangpu district.

Changzhou neighborhood, Xiagang neighborhood, Changling neighborhood, Xinlong town, and Huangpu neighborhood made efforts to improve the quality of the urban living environment, showcasing the effectiveness of enhancing living conditions and addressing the imbalance between urban and rural development and city appearance.

In Xinlong town, efforts to improve environmental hygiene, street appearance, and infrastructure have transformed the town into a place of beauty.

Huangpu neighborhood demonstrated its commitment to solving issues like disorderly vending and construction around markets.

Xiagang neighborhood tackled the management of electric bicycles by creating more charging points and parking spaces through space optimization.

In places like Changzhou Island and Changling neighborhood, historical and cultural IPs were leveraged to develop the rural cultural tourism economy, leading to an increase in the quality of the urban living environment.

Changling neighborhood hosted a national mountain climbing and fitness trail competition, incorporating regional culture to develop unique rural leisure tourism products and services.

Looking ahead, Huangpu will continue to address the imbalance in urban and rural development and city appearance, promoting comprehensive improvements in industries, livelihoods, the environment, services, systems, and overall development.
