Huangpu gets breakthrough in HIV detection

On Sept 12, Guangzhou SupBio Bio-Technology and Science Company held a product launch event at the Huangpu International Talent Lounge.

Their independently developed Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1) DNA detection kit recently received a Class III Medical Device Registration Certificate from the National Medical Products Administration (NMPA), making it the world's first approved DNA load detection kit.

This product has addressed the global industry's technological bottleneck associated with traditional PCR methods, which previously lacked the capacity to simultaneously ensure technical sensitivity and specificity. This advancement is of significant importance in providing essential support for HIV diagnosis and treatment.

Not only can this product accurately predict the progression and efficacy of HIV, but it can also perform dual quantification of HIV-1 DNA and cell count in the same testing reaction, significantly enhancing detection accuracy.
