1st Guangzhou Huangpu intl tennis open tournament begins

From Sept 8 to 15, the Guangzhou Huangpu International Tennis Open Tournament and Men's Professional Tennis Challenge is taking place at the Huangpu International Tennis School in Huangpu district.

This event marks the first edition of the Guangzhou Huangpu International Tennis Open, attracting nearly 100 players from 28 countries and regions, including the top 100 male singles players such as Australian player Christopher O'Connell, Chinese player Tu Chenli, and Italian player Luca Nardi.

The tournament is classified as an ATP Challenger Tour 100 event, making it one of South China's highest-point ATP Challenger events with a total prize of up to $133,000.

Huangpu district, through integrating sports and education, is dedicated to building a "Healthy Huangpu" and has hosted various international and national-level sports events, creating an international sports event brand with Huangpu characteristics.

This event served as an important platform for China's rising stars to advance to higher levels, attracting the attention and expectations of numerous fans.

As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, the event organizing committee will also host a "Net-dating with Mid-Autumn" carnival featuring traditional games such as riddle guessing, ring tossing, and shuttlecock kicking for players and spectators to enjoy together during the festival.
