In July 2023, Huangpu district released the "Implementation Plan for Deepening the Application and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Comprehensive Reform (2023-27)", initiating a new round of comprehensive IPR reform.
This initiative has sparked new momentum in the industrial development of Huangpu district. Firstly, it supports cultivating high-value patents and utilizing IPR, establishing a comprehensive and robust system of IP support policies. Secondly, creating demonstration models and nurturing high-value patents drive enterprises to improve their patent cultivation mechanisms.
Furthermore, this initiative has fostered a new model for technology transfer, establishing a navigational decision-making mechanism to support investment attraction and talent recruitment, improve the financial services chain, provide specialized IP services for companies preparing for IPOs, and promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements.
In addition, it has built a diversified protection ecosystem, strengthening administrative protection efforts, enhancing overseas protection systems, exploring protection in emerging fields, and reinforcing IP protection in the digital economy.
Finally, a new gateway for international openness has been established. This involves the creation of a service platform to enable the Guangzhou Trademark Review and Adjudication Center's entry into the Guangzhou Knowledge City Service Park.
This initiative serves to deepen international exchanges and entails a partnership with the IPOs of Singapore to jointly develop the China-Singapore International IP Training Base.
This series of measures demonstrates the forward-looking and innovative nature of the district in the field of IPR, laying a solid foundation for future development.
