With the enrollment of over 800 new students for the 2024 academic year, the Guangzhou University Huangpu Institute, in the Sino-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, celebrated the launch of its newly designed campus aimed at fostering innovation and academic excellence.
The new campus, which spans 24.7 mu (1.65 hectares) with a total planned building area of approximately 390,000 square meters, is equipped to accommodate 800 teaching and research staff and 5,000 students. The facilities include state-of-the-art classrooms, modern libraries, comfortable dormitories, and various dining options, all aimed at providing a comprehensive and enriching educational experience.
The Guangzhou University Huangpu Institute was founded in 2020 through a collaboration between Huangpu district and Guangzhou University. Initially located in the Haisi Knowledge Center, the institute has relocated to its permanent home in the Guangzhou Knowledge City's Science and Education Innovation Zone.
The new campus is designed to meet the standards of a national-level technology business incubator, featuring smart campus infrastructure to support cutting-edge research and development. The buildings currently in use include the Bozhi Building, Bochuang Building, Bosuan Building, Boxue Building, Boxin Building, Liyuan, and Taoyuan.
