Huangpu schools start new academic year with passions

As autumn arrives, ushering in the new academic year, the campuses of Huangpu district are abuzz with excitement and anticipation. On Sept 1, the students were welcomed back to school by the first rays of sunlight, marking the beginning of a new academic journey.

The schools in Huangpu organized a variety of activities to welcome the students, ranging from traditional ceremonies like the "First Writing Ceremony" to modern games and performances, ensuring a memorable start for the children.

One of the highlights was the participation of the Yunhui Rope Skipping Team from Donghui Garden Primary School. Fresh from their success at the 2024 Asian Rope Skipping Championships, where they won 13 championships and set five world records, the team members visited three campuses to inspire their peers.

The "First Writing Ceremony", held at the historic Shijing ancient village, was another significant event. Organized by the Changzhou subdistrict office and Shenjing community, this traditional ceremony welcomed 48 first-grade students and their parents, immersing them in cultural rituals to mark the beginning of their educational journey.

Across Huangpu, schools embraced the new academic year with innovative and engaging activities, creating a vibrant and joyful atmosphere. From Olympic-themed events to dream walls where students posted their aspirations, the schools fostered a sense of community and motivation.
