Huangpu's new marriage registration office now opens in prime location

The new Huangpu marriage registration office opened on Aug 28, in the Headquarters Economic Zone of Guangzhou Science City. This facility is the first in Guangzhou to be built according to the 5A-level standards of the National Ministry of Civil Affairs.

The new marriage registration office of the Huangpu civil affairs bureau is located on the ground floor at No 241-245 Science Avenue, with a total area of 5,200 square meters. The gate is 13.14 meters long, designed like an eagle spreading its wings, symbolizing the idea of newlyweds soaring together for a lifetime.

This marriage registration office features multiple themed certification services, with a total of 11 marriage registration windows offering various themed certification halls that blend romantic, humanistic, and technological elements to meet the diverse certification needs of couples.

Among them, the Metaverse Smart Marriage Cultural Experience Hall allows couples to watch short dramas on Huangpu wedding customs, enabling various styles of themed weddings, remote interactive ceremonies, and self-service downloading of videos and photos. Additionally, it is equipped with sign language translation devices and Braille versions of service guides to provide convenience for people with special needs.

The marriage registration office also includes areas for marriage and family counseling, legal consultation, and other functional zones to promote the right concepts of marriage and enhance family harmony and happiness. 

Furthermore, the new marriage registration office establishes a charity bar where proceeds from the purchase of coffee, beverages, and cultural products are directed to a charity account.
