Zeiss Group's innovation drives growth in Huangpu

Carl Zeiss Vision (China) Company in Guangzhou Development District (GDD), founded by the Zeiss Group in 1995, is quickly emerging as a significant representative of the physical economy in GDD.

In 2018, Zeiss established a high-end ophthalmic medical product manufacturing base in GDD, extending their development journey in the region.

In 2005, Zeiss faced the challenge of resolving import and export logistics issues while constructing two factories simultaneously. Zeiss set a three-day timeframe to complete logistics from the factory to European customers. They purchased a pressure cooker to test the customs clearance process.

GDD offers 24-hour customs clearance services, ensuring that products are delivered to European customers within three days, including holidays. All of Zeiss' Chinese factories are located in the district, which offers a favorable business environment and support.

The second Zeiss Optical Technology Exhibition was recently held in the Canton Tower. It featured 24 technology experience zones displaying precision testing equipment and new products to encourage interaction as well as expert lectures highlighting advances in eye health management and optical technology. Zeiss collaborates with GDD to advance technology, ecology, and intelligent optical products, demonstrating a shared development vision.
