Guangzhou high-tech development zones excel in industry rankings

Guangzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone ranked 5th, while Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone ranked 6th in the "Top 100 Industrial Parks for High-Quality Development (2024)", report released on Aug 14.

The Guangzhou High-Tech Industrial Development Zone has excelled in both advanced manufacturing, and the pharmaceutical industry, ranking 8th in each category. Meanwhile, Guangzhou Economic and Technological Development Zone distinguished itself by ranking 2nd in advanced manufacturing and 19th in the pharmaceutical sector.

These zones have shown outstanding performance through their robust industrial base, forming multiple industry clusters such as automotive manufacturing, new display technologies, and green energy, all contributing to a trillion-dollar manufacturing landscape.

The Guangzhou High-Tech Zone, in particular, has established a comprehensive ecological layout in the pharmaceutical industry, attracting leading enterprises like BeiGene, Hengrui, Akeso, and Luye. Significant progress has also been made in the new generation of information technology and automotive manufacturing industries.

With the Guangzhou High-Tech Zone leading the charge, and Guangdong CanSemi as its flagship, over 200 upstream and downstream enterprises have collaborated to boost Guangdong province's efforts in creating a "third pole" in integrated circuits.

In the future, Guangzhou High-Tech Zone will continue new productive forces and drive high-quality economic development.
