Major innovation, entrepreneurship competition held in Huangpu

On Aug 12, the 2024 Guangzhou Science and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition for Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan teams was held at the Hong Kong Science Park at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou).

This competition aims to provide a platform for technology innovators and entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations and entrepreneurial ideas, stimulating innovation across various entities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) and Taiwan and promoting the development of an open and well-structured regional innovation ecosystem.

This year, the competition adopted a new model of deep integration by concurrently hosting and awarding prizes for two significant events with the same standards, aiming to promote scientific and technological innovation cooperation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and Taiwan.

Nansha is promoting cooperation in innovation and entrepreneurship with Hong Kong and Macao, establishing the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) Innovation Zone, implementing policies such as the 10 Measures for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Hong Kong and Macao Youth, and creating the "Youth Vitality City of the GBA" action plan to expand services in 13 Hong Kong and Macao youth innovation bases such as Innovation Bay.

The competition offers substantial rewards and support, covering multiple tracks and inviting Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and international scientific and technological innovation teams to participate, jointly exploring new opportunities for development in the GBA.
