Recently, Huangpu district has made significant strides with its three urban renewal projects.
The Gangbei village urban renewal project has been approved. Located near Kaichuang Avenue with convenient transportation links, this project covers a planned land area of 10.17 hectares, with a total building area of approximately 280,900 square meters. Planned public facilities such as medical centers, cultural and educational spaces, sports facilities, social welfare services, and community areas, including a 10,000-sq-meter elderly care home.

The Wushi village urban renewal project has also received approval. Situated close to the Development Avenue and major transportation routes, the project has a total planned land area of 7.83 hectares and a total building area of around 144,100 sq m. The project will develop a community development system of a "people-oriented community + smart community + eco-community" model, offering a high-quality industrial support system for industrial growth.

Furthermore, the New Generation project in the Guangzhou Knowledge City unveiled its marketing center on Aug 3, showcasing its latest updates and first model rooms. The project aims to build a 6 million-sq-m urban complex, incorporating commercial spaces, residential areas, schools, and various educational institutions. It stands as one of the largest urban renewal projects in Guangzhou in recent years.
