Sheltering park enhances grey spaces of Huangpu

Xiangyu Yuan Park, located under the Guangzhou-Huizhou Expressway Bridge at the border of Xiangxue Park and Yuyan Academy in Huangpu district, has recently been completed and opened to the public.

This park represents a significant milestone in Huangpu's ongoing efforts to advance and utilize peripheral and grey spaces of the district.

Transformed into a cultural and recreational park, Xiangyu Yuan park features areas such as basketball courts, badminton courts, table tennis areas, and fitness equipment zones, covering a total area of approximately 5,800 square meters.

Guided by the planning principles of Luogang Street, Huangpu remains committed to the concept of a "park city" and the harmonious integration of urban and park spaces. This commitment is further exemplified by the completion of eight various pocket parks, activating urban resources and enriching community life.

During the construction and renovation of Xiangyu Yuan Park, the district green park center incorporated cultural elements such as calligraphy seals and plum blossoms to evoke a historical atmosphere. This approach has resulted in the creation of a multi-dimensional leisure and sports space, blending the ancient charm of the century-old academy with the vibrant essence of Luogang Street.

This park transformation has effectively converted grey areas into a lively blend of ancient charm and enjoyment.
