GDD establishes 2 biopharmaceutical high-end centers

The Guangzhou Yixing Medical Device Concept Validation Center was recently inaugurated at the 2024 Guangzhou Medical Engineering Transformation Innovation Development Forum.

The Guangzhou International Bio Island Hong Kong Service Center was also established.

Medical engineering transformation involves the integration of medical science and engineering technology to address issues in the medical field and translate research findings into practical applications.

Initiated by the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area High-Performance Medical Device Innovation Center, the Medical Device Concept Validation Center aims to promote the industrialization of clinical scientific achievements. By offering tailored support such as technical analysis, it aids in commercializing medical innovation.

It has initiated strategic collaborations with multiple entities, spanning various cutting-edge medical technology fields, showcasing the clinical application potential and market prospects of various goods, services and projects.

Additionally, a medical engineering transformation promotion class has been established to enhance the innovation transformation awareness and capabilities of clinical doctors and research talents.

The establishment of the Guangzhou International Biotech Island Hong Kong Service Center will facilitate the further development of the biopharmaceutical industry in both Guangzhou and Hong Kong.

It will focus on deepening cross-border cooperation in the biopharmaceutical industry, promoting the introduction of high-end talents, advanced technologies, and quality projects, as well as facilitating the outward expansion of industrial capital, innovative products, and operational models.

The two centers will support the high-quality development of the regional biopharmaceutical industry.
