Recently, the Science Associations of Guangzhou Development District (GDD) and Huangpu district, together with the GDD Planning and Natural Resources Bureau and Huangpu District Planning and Natural Resources Bureau, have joined forces to create Guangzhou's first science museum with a focus on geological disaster prevention.
This geological disaster science museum in Huangpu will be located on the fourth floor of the Knowledge Building, covering an area of approximately 200 square meters. The museum fills a gap in the science education facilities in the Knowledge City area, establishing a new district-level geological disaster science education base.
The museum is divided into three main themes: mystery section, exploration section, and decryption section, along with an interactive experience area. By combining display boards, physical exhibits, and VR experiences, it provides an immersive geological science education experience, allowing citizens to have a more intuitive understanding of the dangers of geological disasters and how to respond to them, thereby enhancing disaster prevention awareness and capabilities.
Once completed, the museum will further enhance residents' awareness and abilities in disaster recognition, prevention, avoidance, and response.
