The four inter-city railways in Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Dongguan, and Huizhou are set to achieve connecting operations soon.
The Foshan West Station-Panyu Station and Panyu Station-Dongguan West Station routes are about to start operations, linking up with the already operational Foshan West Station-Zhaoqing Station and Dongguan West Station-Xiaojinkou Station routes to achieve "four-line connectivity".
Guangzhou Metro Group has established a 258-kilometer transportation artery across five cities, strengthening regional connections and driving the formation of a 1-hour commuting circle in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This is expected to boost the efficiency of the flow of personnel and integrated development.
These four inter-city railway lines feature a total of 39 stations, with trains reaching speeds of up to 200 km per hour. The operating company will implement a "stop at each station + stop at high-passenger-traffic stations" public transportation operation model, adding express stops to enhance travel convenience. Based on actual passenger flows, the company will adjust the train schedules to ensure the greatest efficiency.
The journey from Guangzhou Changlong Station via Foshan West Station to Dongguan Xipingxi Station is expected to take around 30 minutes, while trips to Zhaoqing Dinghu East Station and Huizhou Chenjiangnan Station will take roughly an hour, achieving 30-minute connectivity between Guangzhou and Foshan, Dongguan, and 60-minute connectivity to other cities.
