On May 10, the first phase of the industrial park in the Jiangjun Mountain area of Guangzhou's Huangpu district, known as the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Digital Creation Park start-up zone, started construction.
The park is expected to cost over 800 million yuan ($110.58 million) and cover an area of nearly 40,000 square meters. It aims to collaborate with cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Dongguan, focusing on high-tech industries like intelligent equipment, next-generation information technology, and industrial internet. Currently, 10 companies have expressed their intent to set up operations in the park.
With intelligent equipment manufacturing as its core, the park is expected to attract over 50 enterprises. It will serve as a model for integrating industry and urban development, striving to become a smart manufacturing industrial park that integrates research and development incubation, technology transfer, intelligent manufacturing, and high-end services.
Situated at the mouth of the Pearl River's golden bay, the park is strategically located, integrating with Guangzhou Maritime Silk Road City and adjacent to Guangzhou's artificial intelligence and digital economy test zone, the Guangzhou-Hong Kong Technology Cooperation Park and Guangzhou-Hong Kong Intelligent Manufacturing Cooperation Zone, offering a solid foundation for highly integrated industrial development.
This groundbreaking of the park signifies the integration of Guangzhou Development District (GDD) and Huangpu into the construction of Guangzhou's eastern center, serving as an engine for the cultivation of new quality productive forces.
