Guangzhou's Huangpu district and Tsinghua University have joined forces to pioneer the establishment of the Future Design Innovation Center in Pearl River Delta region. This collaboration, with an agreement signed on April 26, aims to drive technological innovation and industrial growth in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Leveraging Tsinghua University's prestigious Future Laboratory, the center will serve as a multifaceted platform integrating industry transformation, education, and high-end think tanks. It will collaborate with partners in Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao to establish a design innovation industry alliance, focusing on industrial product design, cultural creativity, and future intelligent industry services.

Xu Yingqing, appointed as the director of the center, emphasized the commitment to accelerating broader industrialization of technologies through design innovation, thereby contributing to the Greater Bay Area's industrial development.
This partnership is an extension of Huangpu district's established collaboration with Tsinghua University, widening their joint efforts in scientific research and industry-academia cooperation. By promoting the integration of science and society, it aims to guide future technological development and invigorate innovation and industrial progress in the Greater Bay Area.
