The Guangzhou Development District (GDD) places great emphasis on intellectual property (IP) services, annually investing over $14 million in financial support for innovation entities and service organizations, fostering the development of advanced manufacturing and modern service industries.

Recently, Guangzhou hosted a press conference to advance the comprehensive reform of IP usage and protection in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City, introducing new initiatives in GDD regarding IP services.

The district has launched the 30 Measures for High-Quality Intellectual Property Development policy, offering up to 2 million yuan ($280,000) in individual support and gathering top domestic and international IP institutions.

Furthermore, with an investment exceeding 90 billion yuan, GDD has established the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Intellectual Property Service Park, becoming the largest IP service park in the country.

Additionally, GDD has introduced nationwide pioneering IP service cases, including pure patent and trademark IP securitization products and overseas IP infringement liability insurance.

In terms of international cooperation, GDD has built a global intellectual property service hall, advanced the pilot opening of patent agency services, and established an international IP training base in collaboration with the Intellectual Property Office of Singapore.

It has hosted multiple high-level international IP events, continuously deepening international exchange and cooperation and supporting the economy's and society's high-quality development.
