Guangzhou initiates key projects for tech growth, innovation

Guangzhou kicked off its major projects for the first quarter of 2024, with the ceremony held in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City on Feb 20, located in Huangpu district.

This event signifies Guangzhou's commitment to accelerating high-quality development, with a total of 319 projects commencing simultaneously, amounting to an investment of over 320 billion yuan ($44.8 billion). Among these, Huangpu district is responsible for 112 projects, with a total investment of approximately 83.9 billion yuan.

Moreover, the ceremony highlighted Guangzhou's significant advancements in cutting-edge technology fields such as biomedicine and new energy materials. The initiation of these industrial projects is expected to inject fresh vitality into the economy of Guangzhou and the entire Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It also aims to contribute Guangzhou's expertise to the global arena of technological innovation.
