Huangpu Marathon 2023 sees record-breaking performances

On Dec 24, over 20,000 runners participated in the Hyundai 2023 Guangzhou Huangpu Marathon. This year's marathon was set in China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City and included a full marathon, half-marathon, and fun run categories. 

The race route passed landmarks such as Maicun village, the Pinggang River, and the Maritime Silk Road Knowledge Center, reflecting the developmental achievements of Huangpu. 

In terms of competition, Ethiopian athletes shone in the full marathon category, setting new records. Chinese athletes also displayed excellent performance in the half-marathon and fun run categories.

This year, the event focused on integrating sports, technology, enhanced medical support, and volunteer services, to ensure efficiency and safety. This all reflects the marathon's continuous pursuit of excellence.
