Guangzhou Science City secures 2nd in national tech rankings

On Dec 21, the CCID Consulting Urban Economic Research Center released the "Top 100 Science and Technology Cities (2023)," in which Guangzhou Science City in Huangpu district ranked second among 348 science and technology cities nationwide. 

Guangdong province marked its presence with 14 such cities on the list, demonstrating its strong capabilities in technological innovation.

Guangzhou Science City, as a prominent highland of scientific and technological innovation, has gathered numerous research institutions and innovative technology enterprises. 

In recent years, Huangpu has continuously developed the "2+3+N" strategic platform for scientific and technological innovation, which has effectively gathered high-end resources in science and technology. Guangzhou Science City has become an important hub for research institutions and high-level talents in the city, leading in the number of patent grants.

Furthermore, Guangzhou Science City has excelled in industrial development, especially in fields like intelligent manufacturing, next-generation information technology, artificial intelligence, and biomedicine.
