Huangpu approves CSGKC bonded zone

On Nov 20, a press conference was held in Huangpu district, Guangzhou, announcing the approval of the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC) Comprehensive Bonded Zone. 

This zone is a pioneering project that aims to integrate the Guangzhou Bonded Zone and the Guangzhou Export Processing Zone. This is the first time that Guangdong will relocate and merge two special customs supervision areas.

This is the fourth comprehensive bonded zone approved by the State Council in Guangzhou and the second in Huangpu. Covering 0.82 square kilometers, the zone is equipped for bonded processing, logistics, and services. It will play a significant role in foreign trade, as it will attract foreign investment and promote industrial transformation and upgrading.

The conference highlighted the zone's important roles, such as fostering regional technological innovation and industrial development, especially in strategic emerging industries like biomedicine and intelligent manufacturing. 

This initiative is also crucial for enhancing Guangzhou's contribution to the development of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and the Belt and Road Initiative.
