Huangpu's black technologies shine at Canton Fair

The much-anticipated third phase of the 134th China Import and Export Fair (also known as the Canton Fair) commenced with grandeur in Guangzhou, South China's Guangdong on Oct 31. A group of high-tech firms from the city's Huangpu district brought a feast of technology and innovation to visitors.

Cutting-edge products such as WeRide's autonomous minibusses, CETC's solar panel cleaning robots, and Lingdu (Guangdong) Intelligent Technology Development's high-rise building glass curtain wall cleaning robots drew the most attention from global buyers. These products represent Huangpu's breakthroughs and leading advantages in the field of intelligent manufacturing, demonstrating its technological strength.

At this edition of the Canton Fair, 87 participating companies from Huangpu engage in various fields including electronics, machinery, new energy, as well as life and health industries such as pharmaceuticals and food. 

The exhibition not only showcased "black technologies" but also enhanced the visitors' interest in and interaction with the event through digital human technology and virtual interactive experiences. 

Among them, Guangzhou Virtual Film enabled visitors to experience cross-dimensional communication with the help of its fist product --"Virtual Box".

Huangpu has developed into an industrial hub with 500-billion-yuan-output ($68.5 billion) industrial clusters in automobile manufacturing, new display technologies, and green energy, as well as billion-yuan level clusters in biotechnology and integrated circuits, significantly enhancing the region's economic strength and capability for technological innovation.

While attracting global attention, Huangpu improved service quality to help local companies expand their global footprints. To date at this Canton Fair, Huangpu-based enterprises have reached a tentative turnover of $117 million, surpassing the previous record.

Through the platform of the Canton Fair, Huangpu not only presented an open image to the world and showcased its achievements in technological innovation but also enhanced the quality and efficiency of attracting investment, contributing to its high-quality growth. 

Huangpu's smart manufacturing is building new bridges for international cooperation and communication, empowering the global industrial chain.
