Tianchi scenic area in Huangpu district is entering its most beautiful season, offering an escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. 

Visitors can embark on a hike from Maicun village in Xinlong Town to explore two interconnected Tianchi (heavenly ponds) atop Shiyading. 

Following a newly constructed hiking trail through forests and bamboo groves, a 20-minute walk leads to the Tianchi observation deck, which offers stunning views of the sapphire-like ponds and lush greenery arranged in layers along the stone steps. Every corner of Tianchi showcases unique landscapes, with uneven stone walls and shimmering pond surfaces forming a world of their own. 

Maicun village, known for its traditional Hakka cuisine such as Hakka roast goose, Hakka braised pork, and Hakka meatballs, has established a distinctive train-themed restaurant to promote Cantonese cuisine culture.
