After three years and five months of construction, Huangpu district in Guangzhou marked a new milestone on Nov 8 with the topping-out of the China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City Knowledge Tower.
This new landmark, standing at 302 meters and occupying a total construction area of 400,000 square meters, not only enhances the skyline by Jiulong Lake but also symbolizes the Guangzhou High-tech Industrial Development Zone's ascent to "new heights" in the construction of the China-Singapore International Science and Technology Innovation Cooperation Demonstration Zone.
The tower is set to be the tallest building in Guangzhou when it is completed in 2026. The design of the tower reflects its unique modernity and iconic nature, and it is positioned to serve as an important landmark and business hub in the region.
The topping-out of the tower represents not only an architectural achievement but is also a testament to the substantial progress Huangpu has made in developing sectors such as the biomedical industry.
Furthermore, the tower is expected to deepen collaboration with Singapore in fields such as technological innovation and urban construction, significantly enhancing the region's business travel services and international image.
