Guangzhou unveils Haisi City design team

After holding an invitational design tournament to find a design for Guangzhou's Haisi City, or Maritime Silk Road City, the winning team was announced by Guangzhou Development District on Oct 31.

The winning team is led by Li Xiaojiang, a master of engineering survey and design. Li's team conceptualized the city as an international communication center that merges technology and culture.  

The tournament judging panel consisted of industry heavyweights, including academicians such as Hao Jingfang and Meng Jianmin. They believe that Li's design plan not only considers Guangzhou's historical and cultural heritage but also anticipates future developmental trends.

Guangzhou Development District will promote the implementation of this plan, hoping to showcase Haisi City as a new platform for communication and collaboration.
