Updated : 2023-11-01

The 1st Guangzhou Cosmetics Week kicks off on Nov 1 and will run until Nov 5, underscoring Guangdong province's leading role in China's cosmetics industry.

Huangpu district will host various activities during this event. It aims to create a comprehensive exchange platform for brand promotion, skincare technology seminars, and policy interpretation to boost growth in the cosmetics sector.

Notably, the Hilton (Guangzhou Science City) will convene a cosmetics brand marketing growth seminar on Nov 2. It will bring together government officials, industry experts, and business representatives to strategize on the future of domestic beauty brands.

Following this, Guangzhou International Bio Island will host the 2nd National Scientific Skincare Innovation Conference, which will introduce a white paper that will help domestic skincare brands expand their international reach.

Furthermore, UniasiaTechnology will spotlight local beauty products from Huangpu, enhance cooperation with Hong Kong and Macao, and deepen tri-regional cosmetics industry ties through various activities.

Huangpu has emerged as a key hub for numerous global and local cosmetic brands, including Procter & Gamble, Amway, Colgate, Marubi, and Uniasia. As of October of this year, the district houses 63 cosmetic manufacturing enterprises, with a total industrial output that surpassed 30 billion yuan ($4.24 billion) in 2022.

Committed to leveraging the cosmetics industry as a catalyst for regional economic prosperity, Guangzhou Cosmetics Week stands as a testament to Huangpu's dedication to new opportunities and growth.
