Guangzhou metro expansion to open end of 2023

Several new metro lines in Guangzhou are in the final stages of construction and are expected to become operational before the end of the year.

The extension of line 5 and the second phase of line 7 have largely completed their civil engineering processes, with 99 percent of the work finished and electrical and mechanical installations currently underway. Concurrently, lines 12 and 13 are making significant progress, with 73 percent and 71 percent of their construction phases complete, respectively.

The inauguration of these new lines will further expand Guangzhou's substantial metro network, promising more convenient transportation options for residents.
