Huangpu district connects with new metro extensions

Guangzhou's Metro Line 5 is set to reveal its new extension, stretching through the Huangpu district and featuring six modern stations. 

In particular, the Xiagang station stands out with its innovative pillar-free design and is anticipated to be operational by the end of the year.

In addition to line 5's progress, several other metro lines crossing Huangpu are advancing rapidly - the second phase of the line 7 construction is 99 percent complete, line 12 is at 72 percent, and the second phase of line 13 stands at 69 percent. The advancements are expected to enhance connectivity in Guangzhou and its neighboring cities, further bolstering the growth of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
