The integrated circuit industry in Guangzhou's Huangpu district is booming, with its output value reaching a whopping 30.2 billion yuan ($4.7 billion) in 2022, marking an impressive year-over-year growth of over 20 percent.
The district is now home to more than 200 enterprises related to integrated circuits, constituting over 90 percent of such businesses in Guangzhou.
On July 21, Huangpu held an exchange event for its integrated circuit industry with a dual purpose: tackling challenges in industry development and fostering a platform for enterprise networking.
The district is vigorously building a comprehensive industrial chain for integrated circuits, encompassing chip design, wafer fabrication, packaging, and testing.
The district is also in the process of developing the largest semiconductor industrial park in South China, advancing major projects with prominent enterprises like CanSemi and Fastprint.
Huangpu's plans focus on innovation, both in technology and institutional mechanisms. By enhancing the integration of industry, technology, talent, and capital, the district aims to drive the development of its integrated circuit industry.
