Strategic planning meeting held for CSGKC

Huangpu district recently held a strategic planning consultation meeting that focused on the high-quality development of China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC). 

Top urban planners and architects were invited to discuss the future blueprint of CSGKC and to propose strategies for its future high-quality development.

Since its foundation in 2010, CSGKC has gradually transformed from farmland and remote suburbs into a modern, integrated area that features a balanced work-life environment, convenient transportation systems, and ecological protection. The planning consultation meeting will further guide the urban development direction of CSGKC, strengthen its comprehensive functions, and enhance its competitiveness.

As a national-level bilateral cooperation project between China and Singapore, CSGKC is to become a new highland for knowledge creation, an international talent hub, a source of innovation for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and a demonstration zone for open cooperation. 

After two expansions, CSGKC has grown from its initial 123 square kilometers to 232 sq km by 2020, showing an astonishing development speed. 

Moving forward, CSGKC will establish an international cooperation design workshop to comprehensively improve its planning and construction capabilities, striving to create a national knowledge center with global influence.
