Ground was broken recently at the Guangzhou Huangpu International Table Tennis Training Center.
The project marks a significant step for Huangpu in terms of training high-quality students and outstanding sports reserve talents for the country.
Covering roughly 30,000 square meters and with a total construction area of 29,000 sq m, the project has a total investment of around 254 million yuan ($36.9 million). The training center is expected to open in 2024.
In recent years, Huangpu district has been focusing more on exchanges in international sports, while actively pursuing a new model of coordinating academic work and physical exercise for young people.
