Different wards of Huangpu hospital put into operation

The first pediatric ward, the pediatric surgery ward, and the first gynecology ward belonging to the inpatient department of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University (Huangpu Branch) were recently put into trial operation.

As a backbone discipline of Guangzhou Third People's Hospital, the gynecology department of the hospital has a history of more than 120 years since its establishment in 1899, forming a distinctive discipline with clear professional direction and a strong technical force.

The hospital's gynecology team has 42 members, including 14 doctors, while six with senior titles and six with doctoral degrees, as well as 18 nurses.

Pediatrics is the hospital's key discipline, with eight specialties, including respiratory asthma and allergic reactions, digestive endoscopy, hematology and immunology, genetic metabolism and endocrinology, neurology, as well as nephrology.

The pediatric ward has 48 beds, as well as 30 professional and technical staff members, including five senior title doctors and three doctors with medical doctoral degrees.

The pediatric surgery ward covers all diseases from newborns to 14 years old who need surgical treatment. The department always adheres to the concept of minimally invasive, scarless, and painless surgeries, actively promoting technologies like thoracoscopy and laparoscopy.

With the operation of more wards, the inpatient department of the hospital is gradually becoming more comprehensive in its services offered.
