Since its establishment, the GBA Research Innovation Institute for Nanotechnology has worked towards nanotechnology achievements at home and abroad, incubated many high-tech innovative enterprises, and cultivated nano industry clusters.
So far, it has established 20 companies, including CanChip.
CanChip mainly produces key components used in 5G communication. At present, it is actively carrying out the transformation of nanotechnology.
At present, Huangpu and even the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area have become innovation highlands for China's nano industry.
Huangpu is building a strategic sci-tech innovation platform cluster which will be led by the GBA Research Innovation Institute for Nanotechnology. It has gathered more than 1,000 scientific research institutions to improve their innovation capabilities so that they are at the forefront of the country.
Huangpu focuses on strategic emerging industries, such as biomedicine and new energy vehicles. The district also sets a strong foundation for future industries such as nanotechnology, quantum information and quantum computers, and digital twins.
In the future, Huangpu will accelerate the cultivation of many strategic industrial clusters to help the Greater Bay Area build a global industrial innovation hub.
