Huangpu holds event for high-quality development of SMEs

Huangpu district held a communication event focusing on the high-quality development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) on Feb 6.

More than 50 representatives of outstanding enterprises, new R&D, investment, and financing, as well as service institutions, shared stories about the development history of their organizations.

To date, Huangpu district has gathered more than 40,000 SMEs, including over 2,500 high-tech enterprises, over 500 gazelle enterprises, 61 national "little giant" enterprises, 18 national "single champions" enterprises, and 77 listed enterprises.

In 2022, Huangpu district helped enterprises reduce operating costs by about 12.5 billion yuan ($1.84 billion).

As a result, a growing number of SMEs are thriving in Huangpu district.
