Huangpu strives to incubate enterprises

Guangzhou's Huangpu district has been accelerating the improvement of the quality and efficiency of incubators while serving the high-quality development of the real economy since the end of July.

In August, the district held the Huangpu District Science and Technology Business Incubator Conference to explore a new model of scientific and technological innovation business incubation.

Since the establishment of the Huangpu district science and technology credit risk compensation fund pool in 2019, the district has helped 742 technology-based private enterprises and SMEs obtain financing, with a total credit amount of 4.84 billion yuan ($670 million) and a total loan amount of 3.1 billion yuan, effectively solving the financing difficulties for technology-based SMEs.

In August 2021, the first batch of entrepreneur service center workstations in Huangpu was approved to be set up. These workstations aim to help enterprises in policy guidance, project declaration, and corporate financing. They also provide diversified and precise services for entrepreneurs, as well as help scientific and technological talents, innovate and start businesses.

To date, there are more than 100 incubators recognized by government departments in Huangpu district, with more than 5 million square meters of incubation carriers, covering over 5,000 enterprises. They have injected vitality into the implementation of the "big incubator" cluster development strategy and the construction of the core engine of high-quality development in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
