SMEs flourish in Huangpu

In recent years, Huangpu district has been vigorously supporting small and medium-sized enterprises.

More than 80 percent of industrial enterprises above designated size and more than 80 percent of high-tech enterprises in the district are SMEs, while more than 80 percent of the district's invention patents, innovations, as well as new products come from SMEs.

Huangpu district has gathered nearly 40,000 SME enterprises and nearly 2,300 national high-tech enterprises.

By the end of April this year, Huangpu district had built 113 science and technology business incubators, seven science and technology enterprise accelerators, as well as 63 public innovation spaces. Huangpu has also become one of the most active areas in China in terms of incubator construction.

Its business environment has been the key to the development of enterprises. Since 2018, Huangpu has ranked first among national economic development zones for three consecutive years in terms of business environment convenience.
