The Huangpu market supervision administration issued five preferential policies to optimize the brand certification of local enterprises, Guangzhou Daily reported on Aug 3.
One of the five policies is expected to shorten the process for small and medium-sized enterprises to apply for Huangpu's brand certification and financial support.
The application period will be extended by one month and a subsidy of about 30,000 to 50,000 yuan ($4,440 to $7,400) will be separately given to enterprises that pass certification according to different evaluation levels.
SMEs that have previously violated related regulations regarding losing credit can also enjoy the subsidy after repairing their credit.
In addition, the certification evaluation indicators will be appropriately lowered for enterprises that have been influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, in accordance with the 2022 evaluation guidelines of Huangpu's brand certification expert panel.
Huangpu's brand certification is a compliance certification based on a district-level group standard and is divided into three evaluation levels - five-star, four-star and three-star, according to the maturity of the enterprise brand.
Since the certification policy was implemented in 2020, more than 350 SMEs in Huangpu have benefited from it, receiving subsidies totaling more than 14 million yuan.
