According to a press conference held by the Information Office of People's Government of Guangdong province recently, the province approved the establishment of Guangdong Pilot Free Trade Zone (FTZ) linkage development zones in 13 cities, including Guangzhou.
The Guangzhou Pilot FTZ linkage development zone covers the areas of the Guangzhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone, China-Singapore Guangzhou Knowledge City (CSGKC), Konggang, and Nansha Science City, spanning a total of 118.78 square kilometers. Among them, the Yuzhu area of the Guangzhou Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy Pilot Zone and the CSGKC area are both located in Huangpu district.
The Yuzhu area relies on Huangpu Lingang Economic Zone, focusing on promoting the deep integration of new technologies like industrial Internet, 5G, and blockchain with the real economy. It also strives to build a pioneering demonstration area for blockchain development.
CSGKC focuses on the development of knowledge-intensive industries, such as biomedicine, semiconductors, new-generation information technology, and smart manufacturing. It focuses on building a national knowledge center with global influence, as well as strives to create a new hub for knowledge creation, a free port for international talents, a source of innovation in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and a demonstration area for opening-up and cooperation.
